There are big changes here at The Loft this June. We will be opening our doors at 9am on Saturdays to accommodate the Farmers Market shoppers. We look forward to kicking off the summer with you this month by offering great deals and helpful information!

Mark your Calendar. 


The Art Walk in Downtown Ames!

When: Friday June 7th, 2013 5-8pm

Where: Main Street, Ames Iowa

What:  Stop into The Loft to watch the art of Pottery take shape.  The ArtWalk also includes music, food, local talent and fun. Downtown businesses and organizations will host local artists and their work.

The 4th of July Store Activities!

When: Thursday July 4th, 2013

Where: Main Street, Ames Iowa

What:  Main Street will be throwing a parade at 11am.  Multiple family activities will be filling out Main Street’s sidewalks!



Please note our new summer hours. We will be open Saturdays at 9am beginning June 1st and will continue those hours until the Main Street farmers market commences in the fall.

We are currently taking spring and summer items! This includes…

  • Capris
  • Shorts

Starting in July 1st we start taking short formal dresses.

You Should Get to Know.

Each month we will be featuring a staff member for you to get to know! Our staff thinks of our consigners and shoppers as an extension of The Loft family and we want to connect! This month you should get to know our very own Tim Bolar.

Who: Tim Bolar

Position: Tim serves as the manager at The Loft.

Past: Tim has had his residence in the Ames area for the past 15 years. He graduated from Gilbert High School, and continued his education at DMACC.  There he explored his creative talents and received a degree in Graphic Technologies.

Present: Tim enjoys anything automotive, and is an avid car enthusiast.  He revels in working on cars and driving them to local car shows when completed. Tim loves art as well as music, and takes great joy in making art pieces out of antique car parts and barn wood. Tim is also an active volunteer as a leader in the “Up With Puppets 2.0” College group at First United Methodist Church.  He has participated in this group for the past 10 years.  When not busy tending to customers at The Loft, Tim attends Iowa Cubs games,  live music shows, and hangs out with friends.

Future: Tim has plans to pursue new and exciting ways to bring you high quality consignment at prices you can afford!

In Closing.

With all that is going on on Main Street this summer, we can’t wait to have you into the store. Mark your calendars up and even on the days with out events, we always have great deals and new products ready for your shopping pleasure.
