Seasons Greetings

Hi.

It’s hard to believe we are rounding the corner to the last month of 2013. This has been a tremendous year for our stores. We owe all the success to our friendly staff, awesome consigners, and of course all of our loyal customers. Keep on reading this month’s newsletter to find out about our great new products in store, as well as important dates this month. Happy Holidays from all of here at The Loft!

The Loft Calendar December 2013

Holiday Early Closures

When: Tuesday, December 24th, Tuesday December 31st 2:00pm

Where: The Loft

What:  We will close early, at 2pm on Christmas Eve & New Years Eve to allow staff time with their families and friends.

Holiday Full Day Closures

When: Wednesday December 25th, Thursday December 26th, Wednesday January 1st.

Where: The Loft

What:  We will be closed all day Christmas, the day after Christmas and New Years day to allow our staff time with family and friends. Enjoy the holidays!

Downtown Ames Main Street December Events

When: Visit the Main Street Cultural District Calendar to find out all the events happening throughout December!

Where: Downtown Ames Main Street

What:  There will be special promotions in stores and restaurants on the evenings of Dec. 5th, 12th and 19th, with carolers performing along Main Street. Legend of Snow Magic on Dec. 14th. Santa also will be making appearances in downtown Ames on Dec. 7th and 14th.

Dollar days are coming the last week in January!

We are now taking PROM dresses!!!  Keep in mind the dresses must be dry cleaned and in perfect condition.

We will continue to take lighter weight winter items through January. Depending on the weather, we will decide when to begin the spring season.  Keep your eye out as we will alert you through FB or email.

Have your spring items ready as hopefully it will be right around the corner and items generally sell best at the beginning of a season!

We also have gift cards available in any amount. They make perfect Christmas gifts and are small enough to fit in a stocking!

We’ve got 30 shades at a steal of a price at $2.50! Nail polish makes the perfect stocking stuffer!

Perfume and cologneThe Loft now carries Perfume & Cologne. Large bottles go for $8.50 and small run $5.00. These make stellar stocking stuffers as well! At this price, you can get one for yourself too!

You’ll also want to keep your eyes peeled this month for a “Where’s Waldo” like experience with a big pay off! Look for the above Holiday Heel that will pop up both in the store and on your facebook wall if you “like” us at the Loft.  If you spot this beautifully decorated holiday heel be sure to report it to our cashier and you will be entered in a drawing for a gift certificate to The Loft! Please note you will only be able to have your name entered once per day. Want to share with your friends? You Should Get to Know.

imageEach month we will be featuring a staff member for you to get to know! Our staff thinks of our consigners and shoppers as an extension of the The Loft family and we want to connect! This month you should get to know our very own Solveig Rice.

Who: Solveig Rice

Position:  Sales Associate at Duck Worth Wearing.

Past: Solveig was born in Minnesota, and raised in Wisconsin before moving to Ames in 1988. In 1991 she graduated from Ames High and continued her education in 1995 at Wartburg College. After college, she worked for 12 years in the Ames Community School District, all while working part-time at Duck Worth Wearing.

Present: Solveig has been happily married to her husband Trent since 2000. Together they raise two beautiful 11-year-old twins Annika and Kaija, and their active 6-year-old Erik. She enjoys spending time with her busy family, traveling, and going to the movies.

In 2012 Duck Worth Wearing and the customers were thrilled to have Solveig full-time in the store.
