Trending at The Loft – January 2014 Newsletter

The Loft

Hi.

Happy New Year! We at The Loft are so thrilled to start 2014 as we have big plans in store for the shop and all of our loyal customers. We have implemented a new point of sale system that will make our checkout processes even easier than in the past. That along with all of the fun new products is going to make 2014 one of our best years yet. We hope to see you shopping soon!

Mark your Calendar.

The Loft Calendar 2014

Dollar Days

When: Thursday January 30th through Sunday February 2nd

Where: The Loft

What:  Come by to take advantage of our drastically reduced prices on select items.

*Also mark your calendar because in February we’ll be having a bag sale. You’ll have a chance to fill a bag for cents on the dollar!

Let us Treat you to a Day Downtown

When: Saturday January 25th 10:o0am-5:00pm

Where: Seven downtown participating stores – The Loft, It’s All About Me, Lyla’s, Moorman Clothiers, Miss Meyers, Tres Teal, and Whimze.

What:  Take your winter blues away and treat yourself to a day downtown. Shop any of the above stores and expect specials and refreshments at each location! Pick up a punch card at any of the 7 locations. Visit each store to get your card punched. Turn in your card at your last stop. A fully-punched card turned in will have the chance to win one of 7 gift cards!

Please note we have stopped taking winter clothes effective immediately.  We need to make room for our wonderful new spring collection! We will however continue to take purses and shoes. You can always get your prom dresses ready, as we will accept them at any time.

In other consignment news, we have installed and are working with a new point of sale system.  A special thanks for everyone’s patience as we learn and train on this system. Unfortunately, the inventory online search is unavailable at this time, but will be back up and running again soon!

In related news our rewards program is in transition. As we shift to the new POS system, we have had an opportunity to revamp our rewards program for the better. Watch for great savings to come in your email including customer only promotions!  If you have a $5.00 coupon out from our previous program, it will not be forgotten!  By mid-spring we will plan to have our new reward program in place, so stay tuned!

You Should Get to Know.

photoEach month we will be featuring a staff member for you to get to know! Our staff thinks of our consigners and shoppers as an extension of the Duck Worth Wearing family and we want to connect! This month you should get to know our very own Megan Van Pelt.

Who: Megan Van Pelt

Position:  Sales Associate at Duck Worth Wearing and The Loft.

Past: We are proud to have another Ames native on our staff. Megan grew up in Ames and attended Ames High. Her parents Ken & Kathy along with younger brother Brandon, celebrated her graduation with her in 2011.

Present: Megan currently is attending ISU for English and Classical Studies. When Megan isn’t busy working hard at her studies, she likes to relax by reading, watching movies, and perfecting her photography skills.

Future: Megan’s passion for learning is leading her down a path in which she hopes to attend graduate school after completing her undergrad degree.

In Closing.

We hope you will make it a point to stop in and visit us this month at The Loft. If you find yourself getting organized with the new year, consider making some major money by bringing in your gently used clothing, bags, and shoes and trading your threads for treasure!

Thank you for your business, and as always for shopping local!

Sincerely,
Amy Abrams
