It’s hard to believe that it is already July! There are a ton of great opportunities to take advantage of this summer on Main Street, not to mention our dollar days toward the end of the month. The 4th of July Store Activities, Parade, & Ames 150th Birthday
When: Friday, July 4th
Where: Main Street, Ames Iowa
What: Main Street will be throwing a parade at 11am. Multiple family activities will be filling out Main Street’s sidewalks!
Main Street Farmers Market
When: Saturdays now through October. 8am-12:30pm
Where: 300 & 400 Block of Main Street and the Tom Evans Park
What: The Ames Main Street Farmers Market is a community event with local vendors and producers bringing their best to sell and share! It’s a great time to start the weekend with family and friends as you stroll in the sunshine down Main Street. It will bring you conveniently closer to our front door which is only a few steps away from great deals on all things your family needs to save time and money!
When: Thursday July 24th through Sunday July 27th
Where: The Loft
What: Come by to take advantage of our drastically reduced prices on select items! These great items won’t last long at these prices!
Firefly Country Nights Concert
When: Thursday July 17th
Where: 200 Block Main Street
What: Firefly Country Night in Historic Downtown Ames! Join us for a night of live country music featuring Frankie Ballard, Leah Turner, and Danny Grouse. For $10 you can enjoy a summer night filled with bbq food, beer, and rising country music star Frankie Ballard, featuring Leah Turner and Danny Grouse. When: Sunday July 27th, 1:30pm-2:30pm
Where: Duck Worth Wearing with a special stop at The Loft.
What: Did you miss Cy’s other visits? Never fear, he will show up again Sunday July 27th! Free pictures will be taken with the mascot. Over 150 kids and parents stopped in to see our dear mascot during his last visit!
Please note the following dates for consignment acceptance of seasonal items.
- July 1st will mark the beginning of our acceptance of jeans and homecoming dresses
- Save your fall clothing for July 15th
- Dollar Days are July 24th – 27th
- September 15th we will begin accepting winter clothing which includes winter coats and heavy sweaters.
Men have a great opportunity to bring in the bucks this month by consigning with The Loft! We’ve got big plans to grow our men’s section, but we need your help. Between now and August 1st, you will receive a 50% split.
With the Fourth of July quickly approaching, it’s time to start incorporating red, white, and blue into your wardrobe! How do you dress patriotically without the cheese factor? Read our most recent blog for tips on being fashionable this fourth.
You Should get to Know.
Each month we will be featuring a staff member for you to get to know! Our staff thinks of our consigners and shoppers as an extension of the The Loft family and we want to connect! This month you should get to know our very own Cassie Kramer.
Who: Cassie Kramer
Position: Sales Associate at The Loft & Duck Worth Wearing.
Past: Cassie has grown up in the Ames area and has one older brother and one younger sister.
Present: Cassie enjoys being with friends, playing guitar and crocheting. When she is feeling adventurous she enjoys any kind of boating activities such as tubing or water skiing.
Future: Cassie plans to attend Iowa State University. She will major in elementary education and Spanish. Cassie looks forward to serving the customers at The Loft & Duck Worth Wearing!
