Summer is here and Main Street is ready! The greatly anticipated Ames Main Street Farmers Market is coming back in full force this Saturday May 2nd, and we couldn’t be more excited! There is nothing better than being surrounded by good food, fantastic music, and you – our closest clients and friends. Make sure to read our tips this month for saving money, and events here on Main Street! Please note we are closed Memorial Day!

Farmers Market 2015

Ames Main Street Farmers Market

What: The Ames Main Street Farmers Market is truly a community event, that is excited to bring people together from the surrounding area to enjoy the bounty of the locally grown produce, delicious baked goods and beautifully hand crafted items.

When: Saturdays Starting May 2nd through September 25th. 8am-12:30pm

Where: 300 and 400 block Main Street, Ames Iowa

Ames Main Street Art Walk

What: The  annual Ames Main Street Cultural District ArtWalk sponsored by Gilger Designs is expected to be bigger and better than ever this year with partnerships that include The Octagon Center for the Arts, Iowa State University, The Public Arts Commission, and the Ames Community Arts Council.

New this year is a chalk drawing contest for ages 12 and under.  You will pick up chalk at Duck Worth Wearing anytime during the evening and will be able to draw in 3 different locations on Main Street. Contest time is from 5-7:30pm More info to come next month!

When: Friday June 5th 5-8pm

Where: Main Street Ames Iowa

Consignment.

Prom season has come to an end. We have been contacting those who have dresses to pick up that didn’t sell. For those who need to pick up a dress please do so as soon as possible! Thank you!

We have moved things around to make more room!  Shoes have now been moved upstairs. We have also created a clearance area for 50% off items in the same location.  Come see our new look and crazy good deals! We also have tons of scrubs available upstairs!

Consigner Reminders

  • Please limit yourself to 25 items when bringing in new consignment this helps keep things fair for everyone and everyone’s clothes get on the floor sooner.
  • Please no garbage bags as they cause wrinkled clothes that we aren’t able to accept

The 2015 Iowa State Fashion Show is an annual event that creates an undeniable buzz in the Ames community. This event showcases the final collections created by seniors in apparel merchandising at Iowa State University. We too are fans of the event and can’t wait to share items from The Loft that embody the latest trends featured at the show.
